This retreat house is hidden in the rural landscape inland from the coast of Flinders. An assemblage of simple gabled forms, the house references an old dairy building on the site. The dark exterior is reminiscent of old creosote stained farm buildings.

Enter and you find yourself within an interior palette of natural white bagged brick walls, woodwashed timber, burnished concrete and stone. An intimate house for two, it expands to become a welcoming compound for family and friends.
